Since the weather has been a bit wet here in Pa recently, I've come to grips with the fact that this will not be a fast race. New York is notorious as a slow course, both because of the sheer volume of runners (usually around 40k) and the sharp turns which clog up as many recreational runners lack courtesy and common sense. I think I'll be setting out to enjoy the race for its atmosphere and spectacle, rather than trying to set a PR. This, coupled with school starting back up and working the two jobs should keep me rather busy, and from training uber-hard (which would be necessary to run a Boston-qualifying time.
Also, I would like to add that any donations made to the Jordan Thomas Foundation through the links at right are tax-deductible, as the Foundation is a 501 (c) 3-level organization. More information is available here. Jordan passes along his best wishes, and we both sincerely thank each and every one of you who reads and supports the cause!

Getting started!
So...I've finally become savvy enough to form a website for this quest. I am running the New York Marathon in November; 26.2 miles of fun. I am raising money for a foundation set up by a friend of mine. Jordan Thomas is an inspirational man, and I'm trying to help him continue to inspire folks as much and often as he can. Donate for my race through the link on the side here, or if you don't have a paypal account, through the "Contribute" link here and your donation will go directly to the Jordan Thomas Foundation. I'll keep updating this as I progress (hopefully getting faster as it gets cooler out, and I'm more in shape) and as together we raise awareness and money for less-fortunate young children coping with injuries. Thanks, and link this to anybody you know who may be interested!
